This plugin for Photoshop will only be used by qc-ers, editors and cleaners. But first I'll explain again how to use it.
Step 1 --> Open a scan.
This time I'll make use of a .psd file.
Step 2 --> Flatten the image by going to Layer --> Flatten Image.
Step 3 --> Go to File --> Save As
Step 4 --> Choose a folder where you want to save the .jpg. Step 5 --> Click with your mouse on the drop down menu and select BoxTopProJPEG.
Step 6 --> Now change over to these standard settings of the example
given below.
Let's take a closer look at the window.
* If you move your mouse on the example it will change into a hand. If you click on your mouse and hold it like that you can scroll through the page a little. Just like
in an Adobe pdf.
* The + is to zoom in and the - is there to zoom out.
Step 7 --> When you're done click on 'Ok'.
And you're done.
A little tip for editors.
Only compress the .psd files into .jpeg if you're done with editing the entire chapter.
What I haven't mentioned yet is why we make use of the jpeg compressor. Well the answer is actually very simple.
And I'll show it to you with 2 examples.
So far we don't see any difference, right? So let's zoom in a little.
See. Better quality and with a lower file size. With this the release file will be 2-3MB less then normal.
I'm sure there are better techniques when it comes to compressing the pages and with better quality but for now
we use this method.
