Last replied to on Wed Mar 14, 2007 08:56:31 Edit Post|Quote I'm searching for some people who want proofreading / QC the mangascans. I give them as first people the downloadlink so they can check the pages.
Proofreaders must know something about Japanese language and know about English grammar. Then you can give me corrections.
The corrections may be posted in the project topic, not in PM.
Translators may also do the proofreading. Tell me if you want do it too.
Quality checkers checks the images and wrong placed fonts. They're not for errors in language. You don't need to known good Japanese or English. But you may better know about editing and Photoshop.
Proofreaders and QC'ers may not give files to another people. And they mustn't fix the errors by himself.
Your name shall be credited on the first page of mangascan.
I do the torrents and direct http downloads.
Registered proofreaders / Quality checkers:

Posted at Mon Feb 06, 2006 05:39:51 Edit post|Quote I would like to be a Proofreader. I have taken a year of Japanese in college, and while I am pretty confident in my conversational Japanese, I cannot read that many kanji yet, so it is best if I proofread. I have exceptional knowledge of the English language, therefore I am certain I can be of use to you.

Posted at Fri Feb 17, 2006 14:37:39 Edit post|Quote If you still need help, I can help out proofreading for you. If you need references: I also work for Dynasty-Scans (Pastel, Kashimashi, Kamichu, Alive, ...) (ask boke for it)
I cannot promise to work on daily basis, but I can respond within 3 or 4 days maximum.
I'm currently learning japanese one night a week, but since I started this year, it's not much. I can read hiragana and I think I have a list somewhere of katakana, so there's no problem. Kanji is too much for me at this time.
So if you can use me, just let me know. The surest way to contact me is through e-mail (check my profile). Also, I'd like to know how you work. Do proofreaders edit translations in the quick-translation-thingie, or do they get scripts to check?
PS: I've read somewhere you also work on dutch translations. Since I'm from Antwerp, I'm interested in that too. ----------------------------- Carrot was two metres tall but he'd been brought up as a dwarf, and then

Posted at Fri Feb 17, 2006 17:38:25 Edit post|Quote Nice to see you here. Ask Mr. Dummy for translator's privileges in the appropriate forum. Normally, proofreading changes are posted in the forum for review. It would be great if you could apply them using the translating system once they have been given a green light.

Posted at Fri Feb 17, 2006 17:47:40 Edit post|Quote Well, normally i don't want give the proofreaders quickly the permission to change the translation texts. Talk first in the topic, and when there is no problem with your advices, you may change the translated texts.
Don't change the texts too quickly. It's better to verify your advices with another proofreaders and translators, to keep again changing texts to minimum. Okay? (or else the edit log is very long after so many changes.... )
I have not give permission to some proofreaders yet. I want sure that they don't make too much mistakes and talk first in the topics.
Proofreaders receive the permission to edit translated balloons, if they do the good work in topics. I want just see their advices and corrections.
The proofreaders have now permission:
- Waxmaker
- crusaderky

I'd love to help out, but if you don't need any at the moment, don't worry. Just know that you can give me a message if you ever need a proof-reader. ;)
